I had a tripod (Cobra - eclipse 25) for quite a few years now (Cheap & Cheerful from a charity shop) and wanted to upgrade due to wear & tear, it took me a while to review the well known branded tripods in the market, Manfrotto's cost was a major factor, so I settled for Giottos, felt it a was better value for money with all pro flexibilities.
The tripod is well constructed and covers all my point in the list to expect from any other expensive brand. The spirit level(s) is an extremely good feature, the three way head allows to shoot pictures from many different angles, adjustable column and legs allows to go down safely without compromising pan-tilt funtion. Solid built, and feels well balanced without being very heavy. Fast to set up and position, the center column is quite sturdy even in bended position.
Absolutely fantastic tripod, would recommend this product to all my friends or anybody bieng a serious about photography and newbies too!!
PS: I bought it from Jessops due to situational convinience ... but Amazon does provide quite a Reasonable & Competitive Prices too, I would have saved some money if I was not travelling this time.

It took me about a month to review and consider all (read top 5 brands) tripods on the market and finally I stopped at Giottos. Its a real value for money. At the beginning I wanted to go for a Manfrotto with a horizintal positionable center column but after having holded it in my hand I decided to look for something else cause it didn't convinced me to be sturdy enough. After receiving Giottos MTL9351 and having played with it a couple of times I was surprised how fast it is to set up and position and the center column is even more sturdy in bended position as expected - you just need to bu sure that all the bolts and knobs are tightened and in their positions.
I would definetelly reccomend this tripod to a friend.

I had a tripod that I have had for many years and thought it was time to upgrade.
I have spent the last few weeks looking at several makes of tripod and was contemplating Manfrotto, a well made tripod and comes highly recommended. The cost was a major factor and after due consideration the giotto I thought was better value for money.
The tripod is well constructed and will cover all my needs. The spirit levels are a good feature as landscape photography is my game, saves me from having to correct horizons on PC.
Definately recommend this product for the serious photographer or the novice.

Absolutely fantastic tripod!Forget about expensive Manfrotto.This Giottos tripod is a great value for money.
The three way head allows you to shoot pictures from many different angles,adjustable column and legs allows to "go down " with camera without getting dirty.
Solid built,and it's not very heavy.I could easily attach my d80 with sigma 10-20mm without worrying that it's gonna fall.
Love it.
