Well, for the money I paid, I wasn't really expecting a carbon fibre tripod, but wasn't expecting shoddy one either. However, I was a bit surprised when I recieved this product. Given the price, it definitely stands above my expectations. It comes in a handy carry case, with a nice little instruction manual. It takes seconds to set up and very easy too. Ideal for travel IMO. WOuld recommend if someone's just getting their first Tripod. Pros would want a better one for sure.

READ THE SPECS!!! Dave R Daveypants is correct. Unless you are a 12 years' old child before the normal growth spurt, or an adult of limited growth you are in for a BIG disappointment. The tripod will only reach to your belly-button fully-extended. Also, a strong wind will blow it away. I swear by Sony goods. My home is full of them, and I have nothing but praise for all my previous Sony products bought through Amazon. But this is a futile purchase. My previous Sony tripod cost £40+ and was stolen, hence this purchase. I should have READ THE SPECS!!

I brought this for my first tripod and find it incredibly easy to use and transport about, ok its not that high but if you want landscape or wildlife pictures its fine. If you use a telescopic lens then to stop the weight being top heavy use the adaptor on the lens to fix it on the tripod to balance it out (instead of the base of the camera). It is extremely lightweight and portable. For people like me just getting into the world of photography as a hobby its excellent for learning and experimenting.

Bought this tripod as was fed up trying to prop up my sony handycam on books/chairs etc. Well built, comes with a small sleeve/bag, and can fit in a rucksack easily. Quality product, but i'm sure not good enough for people who need a full size tripod for semi-pro work. great for hobbyists though.
