I'm starting an event videos small business, and I think this tripod is the top in the low budget gear area. It is absolutely functional with light camcorders and dslr cameras.

I am not a professional, but as far as I can tell, this tripod is excellent. It is strong and stable. You would expect the tripod head to be cheap and not be smooth becasue of the low price. But again, the panning left and right, up and down is very smooth. I completed a fashion show and it worked a treat.
There are many professional tripods out there and when you compare prices, you expect this to be in the low regions, but I would serioulsy advise to think about this tripod. I would say it compares to the good guality ones. Do not be fooled about the price. Just becasue its cheap compared to its competitors, does not mean it cannot compete with them.
i would give it 85 out of 100.

For this price, you cant complain! if you are on budget, this is a brilliant video tripod with a fluid head. you can take the head apart if you need to attach a pocket dolly on the legs. is a bit heavy but that makes it more sturdy. i highly recommend it if you are going to use it for video.
the only downside is that doesn't come with tripod case. apart from that, is 100 times better than a ball head or still photo tripod!!! smooth2010-02-02

Good value purchase. Quality is fine for occasional use however not sure how it would stand up to frequent use? I found some play in the head in certain positions. If you are going to use a tripod a lot then you may wish to consider spending a lot more money on something more substancial, otherwise this one is ok.
