"A bargain for people with small budgets" 2010-06-03
By Mr. B. L. Wilkins (Lochcarron, UK)
I bought this tripod dolly not long ago, and so far i have been impressed by its capabilities, especially for such a low price. I have yet to try it outside, but it provides very smooth movement on most surfaces in the house. The only bad point is that there were no instructions supplied with it, but really its self-explanatory, and it is quick easy to set up and use. Therefore, it is a definite buy for any low-budget filmaker or anybody in general who uses a camcorder.

"Great price let down by poor wheel quality/finishing" 2010-04-29
By Mr. S. P. Davies
For the money this is almost a great dolly, but as found with others it is very juddery and cannot get smooth motion from it!

Coming from an engineering background I have looked for what is causing this, it's down to the rubberised wheels not being finished properly, there is a rubber burr left on the wheel from the moulding which you can clearly see has chunks of uneven surplus rubber, these cause the judder, it's something very small but emphasised once any weight is on it.

Solution? not sure yet, I may remove the wheels and try deburring them with a sharp knife, but by hand this may be hit & miss, but I will give it a try.

(if succesful I will add a comment)

Since some have found no problems I can only assume it's a batch of wheels that never got deburred in the factory, poor quality control.

Shame!

 "Nice item" 2010-02-05

It is a nice piece of equipment, very robust for lighting but i needed for camera movement and it is a bit unstable for this purpose. Anyway it can be fixed and work better (changing the wheels for example).

 "Hello Dolly!" 2010-01-18
By Video maker (Yorkshire UK)
I bought this on a whim as it was offered for sale along with the Konig Professional Tripod - Professional Fluid Head Tripod With True Fluid Drags for both Horizontal and Vertical tilt. I have managed too long improvising dollies from anything with wheels that was handy to where I was shooting video. Having used wheelchairs (often including the occupant kindly holding the tripod in place, pushchairs (without the child - trust me on this one), tea trolleys and supermarket trolleys - this thing is a dream come true. It packs up small into its provided bag, its really tough, can accommodate and firmly grip any spread of tripod (adjustable sliding grips) and - perhaps best of all, its wheels are big and sturdy enough to cope with any normal - basically flat surface. I am very pleased I got it and at this price - I think its little short of amazing. Now - passing wheelchair users, shoppers and pushchair pushers are safe. However, a tea trolley with big wheels is still tempting!

A solid product with 25mm wide, 100mm diameter wheels. This is built to last and with a decent tripod (like a Manfrotto) provides a stable base for your filming. I use it in the studio for stills, too, because the dolly is more predictable than flailing tripod legs.
