I bought this to replace a cheaper card reader I bought off eBay a couple of years ago. I wasted my money!

It works OK. But the connecting pins for cards are exposed in the slot, making it very difficult to seat a card effectively. This also means they can be bent very easily.

This product is absolute junk! Don't waste your money like I did. Look elswhere.

CF CARD USERS BEWARE! - CF card guide rails are not fit for purpose. The length of the card guide is so short that the card is able to touch and bend the `leading' connection pins before the guide has ensured a correct alignment of the CF card. Only by getting down to eye-level with the entry port and loading the CF card using both hands can you be sure of not inflicting damage to the connector pins. I do not understand such an obvious design error, the Card reader could not have been designed by a CF card user! Suggest a look at Atech products I.E. PRO-36U

Bought this to replace my FDD which has not been used for ages; I wanted a simple convenient way of reading camera cards etc. Installation was easy but before you buy make sure your mother board has a spare USB riser - mine did. It comes with a black and pale grey front panel. On removing the black one the tags broke, this was not a problem because i wanted the pale one but did not create a good first impression. I've tested the common ports for SD and SIM cards; they work well. The SIM software is VERY basic and only lets you capture name and number but that said at least you will have a copy of them.



Overall well made easy to install no frills piece of kit - not tried the SMART cards reader.

My Panasonic SD700 only records in 28Mbps in 1080 50p mode, NB "bits" per sec, not Bytes per sec, I know of no camera that can record at 20+ M Bytes per sec. Check the bit rate, I am using lower classes now (6), having bought one of these too quickly on the advice of a Panasonic shop shortly before going on holiday. A class 4 should do it. I don't think it is necessary.

That said it performs well.

I purchased this for my Canon Legria HFS10 to supplement the built in memory. Panasonic claim speeds of up to 22MB/s but don't state anywhere if that is a Read or Write speed. Considering some of the older Class 6 cards (this is a Class 10) already achieve Read speeds in excess of 22MB/s I assumed it must be the Write speed and got one, but it wasn't capable of even 17MB/s from my Camcorder. In fact I had to reduce the quality to 12MB/s before the card would work.

I have given this two stars as it didn't fail to work completely and was perfectly capable of saving photos taken on the Camcorder.

Thankfully Amazon refunded me but make sure it is compatible before you splash out, it's hardly a cheap card after all.

I have just bought Panasonic full Hd TX-L32U10B and and a panasonic lumix DMC-TZ7 camera with panasonic 16gb x10 speed card. The card will not read in the sdhc slot in the tv with video or stills ( it does work through the hdmi socket)A small Kingston 250mb card I have works perfectly in the slot. Is the problem likely to be a faulty card, the camera, or the tv?

I bought this thinking I would have no compatibility problems - should possibly have bought a cheaper card.

I bought one of these a year ago and it is simply one of the most useful extras for the PCs that I use.



On holiday it is great for uploading photographs from any of my digital cameras or phones on Internet cafe systems that have a USB slot. Just today I helped someone out on their PC when they couldn't get images up from their camera.



It works on XP, Vista and Windows 7 and I have found it to be robust - but then I treat these devices with respect as anything can be messed up with rough treatment.



I bought it originally because of the manufacturer name - I always buy my memory cards from the same place.



Only bad thing to say is that when I bought it, the cost was twice what it now is.

Doesn't work on my Mac. Every time you insert a card (even when reformatted) it doesn't recognise it and wants to reformat it. Sandisk said I should post it to their EU repair centre in the Czech Republic. It was cheaper for me to buy a Bytestor reader from Amazon, (which works fine) than send the MobileMate. A piece of junk, stay well clear!

Despite some negative reviews I thought I'd give it a go, as it looked exactly like the small SDHC & Micro SD card reader I was after. The unit looks a bit like a cigarette lighter & has a removable cap over the USB connector. The cap has a loop for connection to a lanyard, shame one wasn't supplied. The other end has a blue LED, which glows reassuringly when the reader's inserted into the PC. The full size SD card goes in "upside down", or at least the other way up the text on the reader - which is odd. But it's no problem to remember this after one use. So far, it's worked fine on both my XP laptop & Vista desktop. Have had no issues with driver problems - or anything else mentioned in the other reviews.

I used one of these very happily for about three months to get digital photos from an SDHC card - it was fast, easy to use, and fitted neatly in a pocket of my camera bag. Then, two days ago, it stopped working - looking inside the slot for the SDHC card, two of the metal contacts that read information from the inserted cards have become bent, meaning full contact isn't established, and the card reader no longer works. With a little effort this would be easy enough to fix, but as card readers are so cheap I can't really be bothered, and have ordered another that, from reviews, seems as if it might be sturdier.

I shopped around for ages before deciding on this monopod and I'm glad I did. Extended it's easily tall enough for any normal task, and nicely compact when it's being carried strapped to a rucksack. It's light, but man is it solid and reassuring in use. The levers lock securely, and it's the right price. I've had Manfrotto stuff before, but this was by far the better option in every way. I know I'm picky, but I'd recommend this Monopod 101%.

I bought this tripod after my old camlink legs finally gave out, and I have to say that it's the best decision I ever made! Being quite tall, I've consistently had problems with finding tripods that will extend to my eye-height, but I was pleased to see that the 055XDB legs came up to my eyes even without the head on! Although the twisty-releases on the legs and shaft are a little odd at first, they're very easy to get used to. For those of you worried by the looseness of the legs and shaft when they're being adjusted, I've had this tripod set up in a force 10 storm and was able to get a 1min exposure with absolutely no shake whatsoever!



I think that I'm most impressed by the price of these legs here on Amazon - after searching the web for a couple of days, this is still the cheapest price that I've come across. For a superb set of legs from an exquisite manufacturer, this has got to be one of the best deals around.

The package didn't include the power adapter the packaging contents list said should have been included. Not a bad little product. As a USB port, it can either be powered by the adapter, or used from a powered port. Very reliable. As a TARDIS model, not bad at all. The sound F/X is spot on, and it's nice that the light pulses on and off instead of just a blink. The only drawback is that it tends to fall over if you don't balance the 4 ports correctly.

Doctor Who Tardis USB 4 Port Powered Hub Station

Purchased for my 9 year old who found 2 laptop USB points inadequate. Previously had a standard hub where if anything more than a mouse was plugged in nothing worked. Really impressed, the tardis noise is amusing but only makes noise when you plug something in or press the sound button. Printer, webcam and mouse all work perfectly and the blue light on top is not distracting. I would rate it very highy as a PC accessory rather than a toy but more interesting to look at than a standard hub, highly recommended.

Got this because I needed a hub and felt this was more fun than the run-of-the-mill ones. Went fine, plugged it in and it worked. Slight panic when I switched my Apple Mac on the next day as the computer had a Kernel panic (it decided that the hub was 'foreign'). Easy to sort, unplugged the hub, gave the Mac a day to calm down and then tried again. That was a week ago and it hasn't resorted to a panic again and the hub is working fine. So I'm pleased with it overall and the Tardis noise it makes when I press the button!

Lightweight AND durable, this has to be one of the best pieces of merchandise to have been produced since Doctor Who returned in 2005. I was lucky enough to pick mine up new for a fiver and it's great! Realistic sound effect, looks chunky and solid, great colouring and practically useful too...what more could a computer using DW fan ask for? (Perhaps a printer shaped like K9 that 'fires' a red blaster beam when it prints?!)
