The reason i bought this reader was because it is realible, i have used cheap readers before which have crashed my memory card, leading to lost of priceless photos. It also looks more robust than the other products in the market.

SCANDISKS SITE DESCRIPTIONS ARE CONFUSING - THEN I ENDED UP PURCHASING THIS MODEL ONLY TO FIND IT WAS LIMITED IN CARD TYPES. NOT THAT IMPRESSED WITH DESIGN. ENDED UP WITH FLAT KINGSTON MULTI CARD WHICH IS GREAT.

This seems to be a nicely made item, but it doesn't support CompactFlash memory. Amazon don't actually list the memory types supported, and I foolishly assumed that all the usual suspects would be OK.
