Doesn't quite rate 5 stars, but does its job reasonably well. When full tightened and mounted still allows slight "level" movement of binoculars to take account of out of position tripod. With larger binoculars the screw finger grip is fiddly to use and difficult to tighten fully. However it can be left permanently fixed to the binoculars if so desired without getting in the way of unmounted use.
