The carry bag is probably worth the purchase price so the monopod and delivery are free. The head is cheap and cheerful but holds my Canon EOS 500D + Battery grip and fairly heavy 75-300 zoom with ease. I took half a dozen test shots at 300 mm hand held, on the monopod and on a sturdy Benbo Mk1 tripod. The monopod allows sharp shots down to four stops slower than when hand-held and was only fractionally inferior to the tripod results. As it weighs next to nothing, this monopod can be carried for ever and will be taken to places where the tripod would be too heavy. At this price, who could ask for more?

This mono-pod is good value for money and well made. In my view a monopod is probably more practical for use with a camcorder than with a still camera. This product works very well for me and enables me to take much steadier clips. I have a steady hand but that's not good enough when filming, especially when using zoom.
The only problem I found was with the mono-pod's footrest, which got in the way, so I removed it and have found it far better that way (also easier to put in the case without it.)

I bought this Monopod as my Sony HDR-XR106E does not have optical image stabilisation. I really needed something to hold the camera in a steady position. After various research on using counter balance solutions, I finally decided to go with this low cost Monopod. Bought it in the afternoon and recieved it the next morning!!! FREE Shipping too!
The product is not the most sturdy build, but for my purpose, it is a great price. I was playing around with the ways I can mount the Camcorder on this monopod. I realised, I can use it in many ways. Add some weights to the base and it balances itself, like a steady cam. Extend the leg and you can extend the reach of your camera like a boom mike holder! This can also help making travel documentaries where you can shoot yourself, walking and talking!
Hold it upside down and do doggie cam! People at my work are surprised by the low price and great quality of this Monopod! Thanks.

For £11 you should, by rights, get a broom handle with a notch in the top but this is just superb. It does exactly what it is meant to, it gives you that extra support when you need it without the fuss of setting up a tripod. It extends easily and extends high enough for all but the record breakingly tall and you get a bag to put it in to boot. It's one of those "it would be rude to not buy at this price" items. Excellent.
