I bought one of these and it lasted all of 3 weeks before one of the leg fasteners broke. Not happy at all and wish I had spent a little more money for a more sturdy tripod. I recommend anyone to spend a little more and buy something that will last more than 5 minutes.

Don't get me wrong, if you're a pro photographer with a 3 foot lense photographing formula 1 cars on the back straight, this won't be for you.
If you're an enthusiastic amateur looking for a robust and fit for purpose solution then this is for you. Given the price I wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. It's more solid and stable than expected, has levels, quick release plate and smooth adjustment. These are the kind of features you find on much more expensive models. In all honesty, I don't know how they are making any money on these.
If you need an every day tripod, buy it.

Bought off Amazon,and amazingly good value for money.Very light in weight,(and with a small hook attachment to add a heavier weight if
required for more stability).This is a full size tripod which collapses down to a very manageable package.The geared rise/fall handle is very handy when making the all important height adjustments.My new Panasonic HDC TM300 camcorder looks great on it,...and the Hama Star 61 carrying bag (supplied),is another nice touch to a very affordable package.
I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Not the best of the best, very shaky and unstable. There is no support on the head plate, it makes the picture a bit shaky when you pan or tilt the camera. The friction is unstable and jumpy. All in all, looks good but has nothing.

I just thought I would buy something cheap to see how I would get on and upgrade at a later stage. After this has arrived, I do not see why I would need to upgrade. It does everything that I need it to do
