"get what you pay for" 2010-04-26

cheap and cheerfull and excellent as a portable tripod. I find it's ok if you use it with only one set of legs extended. I have an s shaped hook that i use to hang my bag on it to give it more stability. In summary, good for travelling, use a more sturdy one if you can.

It is not very stable at full extension but I dont require it fully extended.

"Perfect for beginners, it keeps on surprising me" 2010-03-03

For a tripod that is under £[] it has truly stunned me in how good it is. I'm a beginner photographer and only wanted something that could get the job done cheaply. This has gone beyond my expectations. Sure it's not amazingly sturdy, the benefit is that it's light and compacts to a fifth of it's height for transport. It extends to a very reasonable height, has a small spirit level, and carrying case. If I had a gripe, and to be honest I don't, the colour of the metal is a little dark. But since I've had it, that hasn't bothered me.

 "Too flimsy for me" 2010-02-18
By Frank (Scotland)
Very lightweight and easily fits into my rucksack when I wouldn't normally even consider taking a tripod with me. However, when in use it really is a bit hit and miss, as it is extremely difficult to get level, and even with a light(ish) dslr, it did struggle to remain steady enough for a decent shot. I would only recommend this product is you're looking for a cheap, lightweight and easily carried tripod for use witha very light compact camera. Dslr users should avoid it and go for something better made, like the Hama 62/63.
