Does what it says on the box. Easy to use, just plug it in and off you go, reading from or writing to my SD card was as simple as this.

I bought this USB device after having numerous problems trying to connect memory cards to my laptop. This device was the cheapest on the market and its 9 in 1 functionalty pretty much caters for all popular formats. Most people only use SD, Micro SD, xD and Memory stick devices. Based on this, it was pointless purchasing a 31 in 1 reader or anything equivalent as it would be over complicating the situation.

The delivery from iTalk was prompt, smart and the packaging was clear.

Mine was delivered very quickly. It was however Class 10 (not class 6 as advertised) so I am well satisfied. Balances out the previous card purchased - advertised as 30MB/s but was 15MB/s when arrived. Won this time! There seems to be a lottery on Amazon (on SD cards) as to whether one gets the product one thinks one is buying. This seems to apply to Sandisk (see previous reviews).

Bought to replace my broken class 6 card for my D90. There is a noticeable difference in speed especially when shooting burst. With class 6 I could fire off about 13-15 shots until the buffer ran out but with this one, I can keep shooting continuously. Great speed and with 8gb it has plenty of space for any situation.

A good fast card, probably the best I've ever used since I was taking shots of wildlife and needed fast burst shots. Very pleased with it and feel it is well up to the normal high standars of Extreme SD cards

 "Qick Fix Mic Stand" 2009-05-31
By Mr. Simon Burgess (Leeds, UK)
An excellent product for quick recording. I've used it a number of times as a teacher for recording music in class on the spur of the moment. It takes about 2 minutes for me to screw my digital recorder (Zoom H2) to the base or extended arm and set up ready to record. The only down side to it is that at full extension of legs and arm it is slightly unstable. It is also light-weight so I don't recommend using anything heavier than my recording device. The plus side is the variety of things it can be used for. A definite recommend for quick and easy general work.

"For what it is, very good" 2009-02-28
By NigelLH (UK)
I bought this on the off chance and it turned out to be a very flexible miniature tripod. It is a little larger than I anticipated, but still fairly compact.

The instructions are useless and it took me a little while to discover its curiously good features.

- To lock and unlock the extending legs, twist clockwise until they click.

- To unlock the extending foam covered 'hand grip'/extender, twist each section anti-clockwise. Can be done in one move for all three sections it extends by

- Twist it clockwise to lock it

- At the top of the tripod legs is a large screw that is knurled and about 3cm in diameter. Unscrewing (anticlockwise) this allows the legs to spread further. Screwing it clockwise reduces the spread of the legs

- The camera can mount directly on the tripod legs without the head, but you lose some of the angle control by not taking it from the telescopic handle and putting that on the leg section

All in all pretty good for a pocket tripod.

 "A bit faster" 2010-05-22
By E. Pilling (Bolton)
I got this card for my Cannon Ixus 80 digital camera. I was having trouble getting it to take consecutive shots but after buying and installing this card and reading the camera instructions again, I found that I had not put the camera on 'manual',which you have to do to take consecutive shots!

It now takes consecutive shots with regular SD cards

The card seemed to be faster to read/write than a standard SD card but seemed to slow down the fuller it got.

I am pleased with the card as it will still be useable in the future and I suspect standard SD cards will not work in the high definition cameras of the future.

Bought to use in a Panasonic TZ7, the HD Video in particular is spectacular. With still pics there is practically no lapse between taking the pic and the preview being shown. I will be buying the 8Gb version before my next holiday to give my a bit more space for HD video. All in all an excellent card.

 "Monopod" 2009-12-31
By Mrs. Kathryn Gower (Haworth, Yorkshire, UK)
We got this when my daughter needed to take photos of things she couldn't reach so we've used it with the camera on its timer with auto focus on, hoisted it up in the air and hold it as steady as possible ...... Hey presto, a photo close to something you can't get to easily! Simple to pull out and push back and doesn't really take any room up in a rucksack or bag. It also makes a difference when you just need the camera steadying for a conventional photo too - Simples!

 "Useful and cheap" 2009-11-30
By Danger Mouse (UK)
I bought this to use with my camcorder as I found my videos a bit shaky, since using it the quality of my photography/videoing has improved greatly. The monopod is 5 section aluminium that is 40cm closed and extends to 140cm, it has a foam handgrip and wrist strap. It will only pan if you swivel the monopod and tilt is by undoing a thumbscrew which is not easy to do whilst trying to take shots. My biggest fault with it is that it doesn't have a quick release plate for attaching the camera and I found it rather difficult attaching the camera as you have to open the head and use a screwdriver to attach the camera to the head.I am still satisfied with it though as it has been very useful,it arrived propmptly and was packaged in a retail box.

"Good weight for a days photography." 2009-12-22
By N Branchett (Maidstone, Kent)
This tripod is a very good place to start, it does most things that most people will want to do and it is light enough to carry all day. Carries easily in a camera back pack or Manfrotto bag. Fit your camera and lens on top put your camera strap across your body and carry it at your side, ready for use. (Weather Permitting). It can be slightly unstable in very strong winds, as I found out recently, with some shaky pictures.

For long exposure shots it will do OK in most conditions, but, I will be getting something a bit more stable for that, when I can afford it. For now I am still very happy to use this tripod.

For an idea of what it can take weight wise, I have used it with an EOS 7D and grip and Sigma 150 - 500 lens, the photos turned out well.

I have had this tripod for 3 years, without any malfunctions. I use it a lot.

Extremely well made product as usual by Manfrotto, Amazon's price is extremely keen!!

 "Italian style" 2009-12-01
By Mr. Lorne R. Carlile
I ordered this mated with a Manfrotto 460MG head as a direct replacement for an aging Uniloc system.

Although the Uniloc offers a very flexible and stable platform, it is a bit cumbersome and timely to erect, and I hoped that the Manfrotto combination would prove quicker and more convenient. I was proven right.

Having taken the time to go to a nearby branch of Jessops to compare my original choice of the Giottos MTL series with the Manfrotto (both in store), I instantly switched to the 190XPROB based upon my immediate appreciation of the superior design and engineering. The whole assembly just oozes quality.

Despite a modest weight, the tripod legs are very sturdy- with very positive quick-release catches, and a beautifully engineered cast-metal catch atop each leg to allow silky smooth independant movement. The only criticism echoed by others is the (relatively) poorer performance when fully extended and the column raised to its highest- but given that I rarely adopt such height and needed the flexibility at lower heights where I commonly frame and compose shots, this is a minor point for me. I seem to spend more time croutching, or on my knees, in front of the view finder- and this is where the 190XPROB excells- but I have no complaint with the tripod when fully extended and supporting my Pentax K20D with battery grip. However, others with heavier DSLRs may wish to compare with the 055XPROB.

Highly recommended!

 "fantastic product" 2009-11-28
By James Schofield (uk)
i read a lot of reviews before i buy and the reviews on amazon were spot on for this one, its a rock solid tripod that just does everything you want it to. if i had to say one negative thing about it, it would be the clips that tighten the legs to the length that you want them to be on. sometimes they tend to feel really stiff and i'd imagine a female with smaller hands could have some difficulty. i do not find this a problem, but it is one of those things that stuck out. all that being said, it would not deter me from buying this product, buy one.

 "Giotzos are for life." 2009-10-14
By Mr. G. Bridgeman-clarke (Rayleigh UK)
I bought this tripod after seeing so many recommendations but to be frank the Gitzo was so much more expensive I really didn't know if it was worth the extra cash. However, I have been usiong mine for over a year and its by far the best tripod I have used. Sturdy but still portable. Only thing which can be irritating is the legs release. You need to release these in order but then again thats no hardship.

I use this tripod as my first port of call an it has now demoted my Benbo which again has had 15 years odf service. All in all you get what you pay for and at this costs it pays back over and over again.

 "Light weight option" 2009-08-26
By Don Pelayo (Asturias)
When it comes to tripods there are 3 factors to consider ,stability ,weight and price.

If you are on a budget and are looking for a good ,stable and light tripod that you can carry in long walks ,look no more .Although it weights 1800 grams it can take nearly 5000 grams ( medium D-SLR plus a large telephoto ) and can switch from vertical to horizontal framing very easily.

Is not as stable as its predecesors the 055 but it has the feel of a professional tripod.

4 1/2 stars
