Simple product at a very good price, these diffusers do an excellent job and let you get rid of those makeshift solutions like tissues.

Surely on-one can argue against these being a must-buy at this price.

"Elegant engineering eliminates fuzzy photos at minimal cost" 2010-06-16
By P. Jenkins (Berkshire, UK)
This is an exceptionally well-engineered product. As it's so simple to use and takes up minimal space in a pocket or bag, I have started taking many photos which I wouldn't have attempted before, because of previous difficulties in holding the camera absolutely steady. The GorillaPod camera mount now lives permanently on my Sony Cyber-shot camera, so it only takes about half a second to fit the GorillaPod to it's camera mount and to rotate the simple locking device if more security is required than the normal attachment clip. The GorillaPod grips well onto many objects, but when it can't grip because an object is too wide, I have found that just holding the GorillaPod tripod firmly against a surface works well. I chose a bright red and black GorillaPod, which makes it easy to locate it in a dark bag. I can now take 'difficult' photo's such as sunsets, and low-light photos, confident in the knowledge that the image will be sharp and clear.

 "Useful gadget" 2010-06-16
By CoPilot (Cardiff, UK)
Being addicted to gadgets I saw this at an airport shop recently and thought 'I must have one of those!' Found it on Amazon for about half the price of the airport (duty free!) shop. Great little accessory for digi-cams. Going to get it's big brother soon for my SLR.

 "Great Little Thing!" 2010-06-13
By Thomas Fyfe (Scotland)
I bought this for my Flip Mino HD and it works great, it's a good size to take away on holiday with you and I would recommend it to anyone who's on the go a lot. The screw thread secures the camcorder really well and the flexible legs means it can grip on to all sorts of things. It's not so good if you're camera's tripod mount is at one side of the camera though (it will probably topple over.)

 "Small but good" 2010-05-31
By DGR (East Sussex)
A very useful item fits both my Fuji Digital Camera and my Kodak Zx1.

I purchased one for a 10 year old grandson for use with his new Flip Video camera and on his strong recomendation I purchased one for myself. By attaching it a railing or chair back it is possible to have full family photos/videos.

 "Just the Joby" 2010-05-17
By Danger Mouse (UK)
I would say firstly that this is probably not aimed at professionals but at us happy snappers who are just on a day out; if you're serious about photography you'll no doubt have a DSLR and proper tripod, so might not find much use for this.

OK here's the low-down, the compact Gorillapod is about 16cm long which means you can't wrap it round lamposts, the DSLR Gorillapod however is 26cm long so should have no problem. It has a quick release plate which you can leave attached to your camera then just clip it into the Gorillapod when you need to, there's a locking ring to stop the QR plate detaching. It's amazingly flexible, you can tilt it, twist it and bend it into all shapes and attach to many things and the feet and along each leg are silicon coated to help prevent slipping.

As it's small and lightweight it fits in my pocket whilst out. I usually go hill walking alone and I've found this to be useful when I'm out as I can set my camera up on a fencepost, rock or tree stump and be in the photo for a change. I've used it with a Lumix TZ6 and Kodak Zi6 with no problem. Some people have experienced instability because the camera mounting point is offset, the TZ6 mounting point is offset however you just need to adjust the Centre of Gravity by bending the legs to correct this, simple physics really.

Overall I think this is a useful gadget for us happy snappers and worth the money.
