"Great Product, Great Value" 2010-02-18 By McColey (Buckinghamshire) This 4GB Micro SD card is really good value. It's not just a Micro SD card, it comes complete with an adapter to make it work as SD, and a little rubber protective 'pod' and strap to attach to a keyring or such. The security protected packaging is very easy to open and great to use for storage as it fits easily into the pocket of a laptop bag.
The 10 year warranty is very reassuring that you have purchased a genuinely good quality product. It is water proof, magnet proof and shock proof. As a guide, it holds 940 songs, 1970 pictures or 16 hours MPG (or any % combination of these!). The figures stated are based on 4 min songs at 128kbps, pictures at 1600x1200 pixels and MPEG4 QVGA video at 384kbps.
I originally ordered this for my Samsung mobile phone, but found that the maximum card it can recognise is 2GB, I am now using it in my digital camera instead. I advise checking the maximum size card your device can handle before ordering one of these larger capacity cards. Overall, I am very pleased with this card.
"Small and perfectly formed but yet another format" 2010-02-18 By J. Baldwin (Dundee, Scotland) There's not a lot to fault this device performance-wise, though it has to be said the usual caveats apply - I've had SD cards suddenly fail in the past for no apparent reason and the best I can say about any card is "it hasn't failed yet"!
I don't have any devices that require this format, the micro SD, so have been using it with the adaptor and this works well. If you have a mixture of devices, or want something that will be compatible with any requiring the smaller format, this is a good option. I got this because as a lecturer I find myself being handed all sorts of cards and devices to plug in to my laptop and I know it won't be long before someone turns up with a micro SD card...
"Micro sd card plus extras, well worth it." 2010-02-16 By J. E. M. Kneale (Liverpool, Merseyside United Kingdom) I'm not a full time techie, just an ordinary housewife, so this is the real laymans guide to this product.
The micro sd card is useful to expand a phone memory or an MP3 player. I put this one in my Samsung Jet S8000 and it lives there still. It has a capable 4gb memory and currently holds all my music on the move. I don't aim to fill it completely, but doubtless one day will.
The card is so dinky, but usefully comes packed so securely that you can't lose it (unlike the unpacked one I bought one time... the sofa has a 4gb memory going spare) The pack contains a bright green (in my one) flexible case about 2cm by 2cm that stores the card. So simple, but such a good idea. It also comes with an adaptor to convert the micro sd into an sd, useful for loading onto it using an sd slot. I used this with both my notepad and desktop and it worked fine. Cracking idea, Gromit. For the price, and considering the extra bits, I think this is a good value product and well worth it.
"Card Reader Issues" 2010-02-06 By robotfish (London) The micro SD card works, I plugged it into a USB stick adapted to read/write to it. It was fast enough - 1GB in about 7 minutes.
However the supplied card reader (a pseudo SD card) does not seem to work at all. I would have reservations at recommending something that only partially works - I was lucky to be able to test with the USB adapter.
"It's a memory card..." 2010-01-31 By Chris Chalk (Croydon, United Kingdom) Ok so first off, there is a nice touch with the fairly garish green cover case and the micro SD attachment is also a nice touch but beyond that, it's a 4gb memory card for a decent price - not much more i can say about it really! It isn't going to set the world alight but at under a tenner and a decent brand name i don't really think there is much to complain about!

"Works great for Hi Def video for camcorders" 2010-07-11 By Geoffers This card works great for Hi Def video from camcorders. For example, the Panasonic UK SD700 (that this is plugged into) can record at it's highest setting (1080/50p @ up to 28Mbp/s VBR) with this card. Worth noting that the SD700's highest quality / bitrate setting is higher than the AVCHD Standard of 17 or 24 Mbps. This card is capable of at least 48 Mbps as class 6 so is slightly overkill for most HD camcorders using AVCHD, you could get away with a class 4.
Some of the DSLRs that seem to be having an issue record a VBR at up to 60 Mbp/s and ideally need a class 10 card (well, a class 7.5)...
"Not fast enough for video!" 2010-05-12 By Reaction (UK) It might look pretty and might be waterproof... but it is too slow for HD video on my Canon EOS 550D SLR (and I suspect many other devices recording 1080i HD video). Just search on a popular internet video site to see a guy demonstrating its unsuitability. Instead, buy the bland-looking but far better performing Verbatim 44031 16GB HD Video SDHC Class 6 Card, available here on Amazon. The Verbatim can sustain HD video recording without the 550D ever showing its buffer warning.
"Too slow for video" 2010-05-05 By John J. Esslinger (london) Works great for taking pictures, but it is too slow for the Canon 550D HD video. Hope I save someone the problem I had.
"Spectrum is Green" 2010-04-13 By Wayne Redhart (West Midlands, UK) Judging from the way it is described by the manufacturers, one would certainly expect this to be a seriously durable piece of data storage equipment. After having read their bold claims about what it can withstand, I decided to set to upload some data and get straight work on it. First up I thought I'd load up the VW camper van and see how it took to the kind of application of pressures that they describe. Next I thought I'd try out the claim about it being capable of lasting 24 hours in sea water. Unfortunately I didn't have any to hand, although a spontaneously improvised burst of ingenuity did permit me to muster up a comparably saline-saturated alternative, in which I was able to leave it to soak overnight.
Well, let's just say that if you were to ask me which character from a Gerry Anderson TV series this memory card bears the most similarity to, I would have to go for Captain Scarlet off "Captain Scarlet" (I had initially been quite drawn to towards the idea of selecting Marina off "Stingray", but I had no choice but to nudge her aside after it finally occurred to me that a character who was renowned for possessing powers of indestructibility might be an inherently superior contender for the focus of an analogy- compared to a mute mermaid who did nothing but sit on her arse all day in a futuristic submarine). For family photographs, videos and items of long-term sentimental value, you won't find a more durable means of storage. I can just picture it being uncovered and looked through years from now, in the immediate wake of my death- like a time capsule to an era gone by. At least, I can only presume that this will be the next use anybody might get out of it. After, all I'll be damned if I've got the faintest idea as to where in my cluttered study the bloody tiny little thing might possibly have ended up since I last used it...
"Best I have found for readyboost" 2010-04-08 By Mr. R. Burnikell (England) I use this card for readyboost in my Windows 7 PC. For those that don't know readyboost (which uses random read/write) places very different demands on Flash cards compared to a camera (which uses serial read/write).
I tried several cards including a Sandisk Extreme III class 10 card (twice the price), but this samsung class 6 card gave the best performance with readyboost. Formatted as NTFS (required for readyboost use above 4GB) performance in my PC is about 6.5Mb/s random read and 5.5MB/s random write.
An excellent card that outperformed a leading class 10 card at twice the price for NTFS random read/write (readyboost).

"Excellent card" 2010-06-09 By Martin Sapsed (Caernarfon) Excellent micro SD card. Bought for use in an HTC HD2 - works fine in that and "feels" quick. Only issue I had is that my PC won't read it in its SD card reader. However, stuff copied onto it pretty quickly via ActiveSync so not an issue.
"quick and reliable card" 2010-05-19 By Zubayr999 (UK) Bought this card for my HTC Desire smart phone. Previously used a Sandisk class 6 card but this one feels quicker and makes phone more stable. Took 10 minutes to copy 5gb of files to it, including hundreds of small files and mp3s.
A good card for a good price.
"Very fast" 2010-05-08 By Gadget Freak (Wales) I bought this for my wife's Blackberry 9700 and the difference between this and the included sandisk 2gb card is very noticeable.
Due to the high class 6 read/write speeds video/music and taking photo's are all done much faster. In particular the time between taking, saving and being ready for the next photo does seem quicker.
Comes very well packaged for once in a blister pack you don't need an angle grinder to open! The card itself is supplied in a little rubber case and it includes a small lanyard and and sd card adaptor.
Using the sd card adaptor and then into a usb card reader my computer running windows 7 pro 64 bit had absolutely no trouble and I was amazed how keep it was readily available and again the transfer speeds for such a small card.
These cards are also designed to be more water proof, magnet proof and shock proof. All good things which help you keep your data safe shoudl you drop your mobile in water etc.
Overall, Class 6 cards like this are essential for high end smartphones where the increased speed makes a difference! Worth the extra.
"Brilliant Way To Expand Memory" 2010-03-03 By Avid Amazon'er! (UK) This product is a great addition of memory (just a few bytes short of 8gb on my Samsung). The memory card does not slow down my sytem, unlike my old memory card, as the Class 6 ensures speedy transmission of data. I haven't tried to get my pc to read the memory card, so I cannot comment on how well it does this, given that my memory card is place behind my phone's battery (& best left there!). The little case it comes with is brilliant - if ever I remove this card I know it will be very safe.
"Super fast card, and is excellent with my HTC mobile phone." 2010-02-27 By Y. Khan I bought this card for my HTC mobile phone. It is a super fast memory card, and works perfectly in my mobile. I use it for watching large HD videos and it is excellent. I have always found Samsung cards to be excellent quality and long lasting without any problems. Highly recommended to all.

"Great quality and great value" 2010-06-25 By Matt C (UK) This is a great buy and supports all my camera can throw at it (avchd-motion jpeg etc), only time will tell is it's reliable but for now it's highly recommended from me.
I originality purchased a lexar card with my camera for the same price as this one at half the capacity, half the write speed and the housing is nowhere near as nice a finish - the rubber case this one comes with is a bonus also
"Superb Product - Exactly what I expected" 2010-04-14 By Gundog (Oxfordshire, United Kingdom) This is a fantastic memory card. Its robust in every way, and very fast. I use it for Photography with a Nikon D300s Camera, and i've never had any speed issues, even shooting in RAW.
It comes with a square rubber surround which attaches to a small string. - You might this this is a gimmick, but within a camera bag pocket its quite handy, as it keeps the memory card secure and doesnt slip around due to the rubber. Its very easy to eject the card from the rubber surround.
I have 2 of these and have been very impressed with the quality and performance.
I'm going on Safari later this year, and 8GB is just the right size to have enough room for a day's photographs, but not too much that if lost you've lost the whole trip (though losing just one would be gutting!).
I'm so impressed i'll be ordering another 6 for my holiday!
"Smooth and sophisticated" 2010-03-01 By Paul Madge (West Sussex UK) I bought this card because of its durability - you can see that it is more strongly engineered than an average SD card and this is underwritten by the warranty from Samsung. However, a blistering transfer rate and high quality aesthetics are also a by-product of the purchase - it looks and feels different to lesser cards. Additionally, there is delightfully ingenious "quick release" rubber holder supplied which is unlike anything I've seen before. In summary, recommended on the basis of form and function.
"5 Star Storage" 2010-02-26 By J. Kelly It may be hard to get excited over an SD card but, if you were going to, this would be the card that made you giddy. It's suitable for both cameras and camcorders with a generous 8 GB of storage, and it's fast; moving files is quick but, crucially, so is saving them. It halves the time my camera takes to save a photo, meaning I have twice the time to take more snaps.
And it's rugged, too. This is a premium bit of kit, waterproof and shockproof. Nearly every other SD card on the market would sna like kindling if you trod on it, but this card barely notices. It's the sort of feature you hope you'll never have to put to the test, but it's very reassuring to know they're there, just in case.
I used to buy the cheapest SD cards I could, thinking they'd all be pretty much the same. But I'm a convert now. It's Samsng SD PLUS all the way for me!
"Exactly what it says on the tin" 2010-02-25 By zenadox This is a solid card, tested waterproof and shockproof when my bag burst open in the recent heavy rain, straight into the biggest puddle for miles (sod's law). My papers and phone were ruined but the card survived intact.
This is the fastest card I've ever owned, even for music and photos.
I recommend this highly.
