This product was very easy to install and works as stated with the various cards and USB
By Overpriced Camerak
If this hadn't been so cheap would have tried to claim money back, was easier to walk to bin though
By Pmc (UK)
easy to install does exactly what it says on the box
obviously limited to USB speeds but gives you ability to read almost all digital camera formats

Yes it's a bit flimsy, BUT IT WORKS.
What else do you want for your money ?

Despite being relatively expensive for an internal card reader (I normally pay around £7.00) this product is without a doubt one of the lowest quality devices I have ever seen. The other rubbish in my skip appears to be embarrassed by its presence.

Poor quality product (ok it was cheap, and it's called Max Value) but data transfer from a USB pen drive would cut off before it was finished. Plugged same pen drive into a rear USB socket and no issues at all. No way I'd trust it with memory cards to download photos to my PC. Amazon service excellent as usual.

This appears to do all that it says it will and so far suits my requirements

Initially I was none too happy with the product. A phone call and a prompt response meant I had a replacement within days, and the previous one returned, FOC. The unit is compact, as described and installing it is very easy, do be aware though you need to have the correct socket on your motherboard. I had one, but many boards have two, and some have none. It is a 'special' usb conector, not a standard one. The device is cheap and cheerful, and does the job it's intended to do. There was no CD included in either of mine, and although I didn't need it, the instructions said there should've been. I would buy it again, if I neded one, and would reccomend it also.

Yes this card reader does do everything.....
however used it 3 times, and the shiny side panelling fell off, disappointed, but its only aesthetics, used a few more times and then it stops working altogether.... its kept on my desk, so no other damage would come of it.... very disappointed as there are better cheaper options, but thought I'd pay more for a better quality one, oh how i was mistaken!
would not recommend...

When the item arrived my first in impression was "looks Good" however whilst looking good the item has a very cheap feel to it, the 1st time i put an SD card in and then removed it,it pulled away the silver trim, that happens every time you remove a card. The item works but quality it isnt.

A neat looking card reader/writer at a good price. Can be difficult inserting a memory stick but works ok if you look closely at what your doing.

Nice device, but no instructions included. You need to inspect the pics next to the slots closely to ensure you insert cards in the correct orientation. The internal plastic guide for the Memory Stick slot was broken when my device arrived, though I managed to click it back into place and use it to read a Memory Stick OK. Reading also worked fine for SD, both under Ubuntu Linux.

I purchased this memory card reader recently after my old one gone faulty. I am happy with the size of the memory card reader, just slighly bigger than your usual USB thumbdrive. It does all the job... The transferring speed is OK. The feel/look of it is a bit plastic toy like with a Glossy chrome finishing detail ( which I personally dislike the gloss part) But yea, Overall, it still does THE JOB. The Advantages are: Small, convenient for travel. Disadvantages: nothing Major. I personally do not like the Glossy detail on the reader, that's all. =) I recommend people to get this little thing because it's worth it.
