 "MacBook Pro won't sleep" 2010-05-15
By C. J. George (Yorkshire)
It does work with a Mac, and it fits flush, but it won't let the computer go to sleep (OS X 10.6.3). How did these other reviews not notice a red-hot computer in the morning???

Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging and the bin men have taken it away, so I can't return the product. I can't find a fix on the internet either, but I have found many people having sleep problems with several of Startech's products.

I'll have to take a hit on this one.

Does what it says and works nicely with my MacBook Pro. Nothing to fault here.

 "Excellent - works perfectly" 2009-07-12
By I. THOMPSON (West Yorkshire)
I looked all over the net for reviews about this product and could find hardly any. I bought it for my recently purchased MacBook Pro (Unibody). It works perfectly and sits flush with the edge of the case. So it looks like it came with the machine. The card needs no drivers at all, and I can confirm it works fine with SDHC SD cards as I have a 2GB one that works fine. Also the transfer rate seems rediculously quick. Especially with my Sandisk Extreme 4 card.

Highly recommended.

Perfect way to add SD/SDHC card reading to my MacBook; just plug it in and leave it. It's so neat it looks like part of the Mac. Just pop the card in, use it and eject it on-screen.
