Hahnel Triad 40 Lite Professional Light Weight Aluminium Alloy 4-Section Tripod with 360º Lock-in System Ball Head and Free Carrying Case

The Hahnel Triad 40 Lite tripod is unsurprisingly a larger version of the Triad 30 lite, with larger diameter, slightly longer legs and a larger ball head. Constructed from a combination of aluminium and magnesium alloys, it can support devices upto 5kg with ease.

With a maximum height of 151cm, folding down to just 60cm, and weighing just 1.6kg, the Hahnel Triad 40 Lite is an incredibly compact and versatile tripod.

The included alloy ball head is a particularly nice piece of kit - lightweight, yet clearly robust and well made, the ball moves smoothly, while the ergonomic locking knob grips the ball firmly and securely meaning there is none of the 'creep' that can be detected with other less-well-made heads.

Supplied with a quick-release plate - with extra quick-release plates also available seperately. The head is attached using a 3/8 thread, meaning it can be unscrewed from the legs - something not possible with most tripod/head combinations in this price range - which means you can use other heads on these legs, or this head with other legs if you desire.

The quick release plate system on the Triad 40 lite is of the sliding plate type, with two stage lock-in-system, and is Arca-Swiss compatible.

The 4-section legs are independently adjustable for both height and angle, and the centre column is reversible for low-angle macro work - both features usually reserved for more expensive tripods. Also featuring easy-to-use flip-lock lags and an integrated spirit level, this is a quality tripod.

Supplied complete with carry case.
